Welcome to Reddit,

I have gigabit cable internet that has been reliably fast for some time now. Since I bought the laptop, I've noticed that my wired speeds are consistently and significantly slower. I'm using all of the same networking equipment and cables that I had no issues with before. I can do a speed test on my phone WiFi 6 or wife's laptop and nearly always see a several hundred Mbps increase compared with my laptop.

I decided to pick up a cheap USB gigabit ethernet adapter which, by the way is plugged into a powered USB hub, and I'm seeing the same increase in speed comparable the the other devices in my household. We're talking Mbps tops compared with Mbps everywhere else. Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Were you able to do anything about it? Thanks very much in advance.
